Upcoming Tournament: Hive Fleet Indianapolis

We've just gotten word of a new Indianapolis 40K Tournament that's being held on August 7th.

When: August 7th, 2010 (Saturday)
Where: Games 2D4 (West Indianapolis)

Check In: 11:30 am
Tournament Begins: 12:00 pm (3 Rounds, 1.5 Hrs per round)

Entry Fee: $10.00
Army Size: 1250 points, no comp

Tournament Information/Rules

*The Tournament Organizer/Judge has final say in all decisions and rules questions.  Each player has 30 seconds to plead their case to the TO. The final ruling is final and meant to be resolved within 1 minute.  (Be aware that if no quick decision will be made you will roll off on the decision)

*Will consist of three rounds that will last 1:30 minutes long.
(Eat Lunch before you come) (3-15 minute breaks between rounds)
    1st round   12:00 to 1:30 pm
    Break         1:30 to 1:45pm
    2nd round   1:45 to 3:15 pm
    Break         3:15 to 3:30 pm
    3rd round    3:30 to 5:00 pm
    Awards       5:00 to 5:15pm

*Pairings will be random round 1 and paired by highest scores to lowest rounds 2 and 3.
   Any players TRAVELING substantial distance may REQUEST not to be paired together
   the first round at the TO's discretion.

*All valid armies and current codexes must be used. Allies are only allowed where permitted in the appropriate codex. (I.E. Daemonhunters and Witch Hunters)

*An army list must be presented to the TO for verification and a copy must be available for each opponent. List that are improperly made, don't follow force organization, or don't add up in points, and are found at the beginning or during the tournament will be automatically disqualified.  (Honesty is the best policy)

SCORING 
Painting
*The TO will judge all painting and modeling from 11:30 to 11:50 am. (Armies must be a available to see) The painting scores will go as follows.

1 point-All models are wysiwyg and in one piece.
2 points-All models are level 1. Basecoat and 1 color of paint.
3 points-All models are level 2. Basecoat and 2 or more colors of paint.
4 points-The top 3 painted and modeled armies as decided by the TO will recieve the extra point.

These points will be added to the total points each round.
Painting Scores will be made public at the last break before the final game.

Army Composition
No scoring
Players may bring armies at a point level up to 1250.
There is no composition requirements and no penalties.
Force organization must be followed.

Sportsmanship
Secret Ballot
After each game, each player will put their opponents name and rating into a secret ballot which will be totalled after each round.

1 Point-Player was not fun to play with.
2 Points-Player was fun to play with.

Win-10 Points
Draw-5 Points
Loss-1 Point

Prize Support
Ranging from $150 to $300!!! (Based Upon number of entries)

1st, 2nd, and 3rd will split the Games Workshop Prize Support.

Raffle Prizes
Random winners for 4th, 5th, and 6th, and 7th.
These prizes will be drawn randomly from the entry fees utililyzed for prize support.

Loser of each game recieves 3 raffle tickets.
Draws of each game recieves 2 raffle tickets.
Winners of each game recieves 1 raffle ticket.

Top 3 winners are not eligible for raffle prizes.
The Last Place that does not receive a raffle prize will receive a prize.

8 out of 20 players will prizes. That is 40% of the field for the Ork players.

Missions will only be available Friday August 5th via the G2D4 website at www.Games2D4.com and in the Games 2 Die 4 store located at 55 South Raceway Road, Suite 1100, Avon, Indiana 46231. The phone number to contact the store is 317-271-4234.

  3. Thank you for posting for us. We are excited about the tournament. We are promoting, FUN, competition, and are hoping to also bring out some newer players who might not have an entire army painted. Half of the prize will go randomly to the field. Even players getting demolished by SandWyrm will have an incredible chance to leave with good prize support.
